One of my favorite childhood books is by Judy Bloom, Are you there God? It’s Me Margaret. Had my girls read it too. Can’t wait for these 3 to be old enough to read Judy Bloom books.
Oh, that’s a fantastic book!!! And it’s an amazing feeling sharing a book you loved as a child with a child you love. I loved reading A Wrinkle in Time to my (my younger) sisters. 🙂
I have so many favourite childhood books! Where to start? The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle – I adored the way this book was presented with the caterpillar actually eating his way through the book! The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett – so beautifully written. So many more too!
Oh!!!! The Very Hungry Caterpillar is my nephew’s favorite book right now. He loves to pretend he’s eating, too. heeheee 🙂
First your sneek looks amazing !! My favorite childhood books was an idea of my 2nd grade teacher who knew I loved to read and asked my mother to buy me the “Anne of Green Gables” series. I am 32 years old now and I still have them.. and read them almost every year.
What a wonderful teacher! Sadly I never read the Anne of Green Gables series… I might just have to pick up a copy.

One of my favorite childhood books is by Astrid Lindgren, Pippi Langstrumpf. I love this book and my girls, too.
Yet another wonderful children’s book I need to read. I have really fond childhood memories of a Pippi Longstocking movie from when I was very young but I’ve never been able to find it again. I should definitely check out the original – thanks!

My favorite childhood book(s) are the Little House on the Prairie set. I still have the set my mom gave my sister and i for Christmas one year, but I’m afraid to pick any of them up they are so worn they’d probably fall apart in my hands.
I LOVE Little House on the Prairie and this is one of my very favorites from my own childhood! I have a set of the books, too, and I’ve really been wanting to reread them lately. I haven’t been able find them on audio (I mostly listen to audiobooks these days) so hopefully I’ll find time to read them again over the holiday.
In grade school I even checked out a Little House on the Prairie cookbook which was wonderful and has some great recipes from that era. I remember making blueberry pudding using tin cans for the mold. I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder books and so many more–I was and still am a bookworm. One summer I read ALL of the Nancy Drew books LOL
