theStudio's Christmas Carol Blog Train: Away in a Manger

It’s blog train time!!! I hope you’ve all been getting in the holiday spirit with some festive Christmas tunes, because we have a Christmas Carol Blog Hop for you! Each designer created a mini based on our favorite carols.

I selected Away in a Manger as my carol. It’s such a sweet children’s carol, plus I sang it in church as a solo when I was a little girl of about 7 so I have fond memories of it. I practiced and practiced! Of course I don’t really have a natural talent for singing so I’m sure the congregation had a *fabulous* time listening to my performance heeheeheee.

Here’s my portion:

Thank you very much. I’m so happy when a designer chooses to design something for the real reason for Christmas. The papers are especially darling, but the figures are sweet.

Thank you for your gorgeous kit – it is so perfect for making Christmas cards that send the true meaning of Christ’s birthday! I searched the web for “Nativity” themed kits and had a difficult time finding ones I liked.

thank you so much. This is just what I was looking for, my little niece is playing Mary in the school nativity. Happy Christmas 🙂

  12. Jenn says:

Wow This is great. Try finding a Nativity to purchase. They just are not out there.
You would be amazed at folks who do not know what a Nativity is when you ask for one. Jesus truly is the reason for the season and I thank you very much for your work.

Thank you for the beautiful kit. This song has a special meaning for me other than the usual. My first grandchild (girl) was given an illustrated book of this song and instead of reading it to her, I sang it to her. She was 3. It was the first book she went to when it was time to rock and read. She soon learned it by heart and started singing along with me. It was a great way to introduce her to the birth of Jesus, his gift of love and sacrifice and my personal faith. I can’t wait to use your precious kit to scrap/journal about this time in her life.

    • Angeltown says:

What a completely precious story – thanks so much for sharing! I’m sure your granddaughter will cherish that song and the memories of singing it will you as well! If you want to share I’d love to see your layout! Happy Holidays! 🙂
